About the Show
In “Roaring Twenties” Chicago, chorine Roxie Hart murders a faithless lover and convinces her hapless husband, Amos, to take the rap—until he discovers the ruse. On death row, Roxie and fellow “Merry Murderess” Velma Kelly battle for headlines and the spotlight, then join forces chasing the “American Dream”: fame, fortune, and acquittal. A razor-sharp satire with a dazzling score and Fosse-inspired staging.
